Spirit Talk
Aside from delivering messages and validations from the spirit world, breaking down barriers and misconceptions is an important part of a mediums work. On this page, Ezio shares some thoughts on the questions and comments most asked of his mediumship.
What is a medium?
A medium is anyone who communicates with the spirit world. There are many forms of mediumship ranging from spiritual or energetic healing, inspired or visionary art, physical phenomena, trance or channelling and of course…my favourite…survival evidence. Some people lump fortune telling into the same category as mediumship but I don’t think that’s correct.
What about fortune telling?
As a rule, I don’t consider mediumship and fortune telling to be the same thing. I also don’t make predictions unless the prediction comes directly from a spirit communicator. There is a huge difference between psychic practice and mediumship. A psychic obtains their information from the energy of the person they are reading for. A medium links directly to the spirit. Sadly there are many psychics who call themselves mediums and conversely many mediums who don’t serve the purpose of spirit because they can’t seem to understand the importance of simply being a message bearer.
Are you unique?
I don’t think so. Basically I am just a normal person who does normal things. I like family, friends, football…very normal indeed…apart from the fact I talk to the spirit world. But so does everyone! Have you ever prayed? Yelled at God for not giving you what you want? Have you ever whispered to a loved one who has passed over to help with an exam or some other trauma in your life? Have you ever thanked God or the angels for an act of kindness? That’s talking to spirit…no matter what you might actually call it.
So we are all mediums?
Every one has this ability but naturally some are better at it than others. Think of it like this. Every one can run down the street…but not every one can run an Olympic marathon. Each one of us is able to actively talk to spirit but learning how to receive their communication takes time and practice. I call this the Three P’s
Three P’s?
Practice. Patience. Perseverance.
Is that all it takes?
Pretty much so…aside from the total dedication it takes to learn how to do it properly. It also takes time to gain the spirit world’s trust. If you are not doing the work for the right reasons they know about it and won’t go out of their way to assist your growth and development. They do work with love however and will give a person every opportunity to work through human limitations in an effort to become more loving, more real. Realness is important to the spirit world. They are misrepresented enough by people who don’t understand so when they find someone who wants to sincerely be a servant to greater understanding…they will do whatever they can to help that person get it right.
Sounds scary.
It’s not scary. Good, developed mediumship is never frightening because there is nothing to be gained from frightening people. Mediumship is based upon the links of love that exist between people and love never harms us. Love sets people free. It’s a healing thing.
Are dead people scary?
I don’t believe in dead people. In fact I have often said it is not possible to communicate with the spirit of the dead and anyone who says otherwise is fooling themselves. Mediums do not communicate with the spirit of the dead but with the spirit of the living. That’s why I have called my forthcoming book, “Living Spirit.” Think about it. If a spirit can communicate intimate thoughts, shared memories and proof that they still know what is going on in their loved one’s lives, then how on earth could they be dead! |
